Aug 24, 1929 – Oct 24, 2010
Alberta Rose (Nash) Grafton of Burnaby, B.C., died October 24, 2010, aged 81.
Alberta (Bert) grew up near Huxley, Alberta on the farm of her parents, Letty and Bernard (Bill) Nash and attended Huxley School. Bert worked in her young years for the Vancouver Province Newspaper and later for the Vancouver Health Department. After retirement she travelled extensively to many parts of the world. She also loved her garden full of flowers. Of great importance to Bert throughout her lifetime, however, was her family. On many occasions, Bert took members of her family with her as she visited family members throughout North America. It was also important to Bert that younger family members receive encouragement and support.
Surviving Bert are her two sisters, Mildred Michie, Ottawa and Kathreen Nash, Victoria, B.C. and her brothers, Howard Nash, Calgary and Don Nash, Abbotsford, B.C. Missing her also will be her close cousins, the Flecks of the Camrose, Alberta area and the Rigby’s of Calgary, as well as her many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Teddy (1954) and her brother, Harvey Nash (2009) of Calgary.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Union Gospel Mission, Vancouver, Covenant House, Vancouver, the Burnaby Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice.Print This Obituary & Condolences
